Wade Bowmer joins the Kutztown University football staff as a student assistant in 2019.
Bowmer played football and ran track at Blue Mountain High School in Orwigsburg, Pennsylvania. He was a wide receiver and defensive back for the Eagles, who went 10-2 and won the Eastern Conference Class AAA championship during his sophomore season in 2014.
Under coach Cory Mabry, Bowmer was a junior on the 2015 team that finished 9-2 and reached the District 11 Class AAA semifinals. As a senior in 2016, his team again claimed an Eastern Conference title, this time at Class AAAA.
Following his senior season, Bowmer was selected to play on the American Football Worldwide high school elite team that traveled to Dublin, Ireland to face a newly-developed national 19U team in April, 2017.
Bowmer graduated from Blue Mountain in 2017 and is pursuing a degree in sport management with a minor in coaching and athletic administration at Kutztown.
