Berks County native Rachel Hartman completed her second season and third year with Kutztown University field hockey as an assistant coach in 2021.
Hartman was an all-state goalie at Oley Valley High School and went on to play four years of Division I field hockey at La Salle University from 2013-16.
The Explorers' starting backstop from her sophomore season on, Hartman played in 55 total games and started in 51. She registered 27 victories, 360 saves, a 1.91 goals against average and .776 save percentage over more than 3,800 minutes.
Hartman collected six career shutouts. Her best season came in 2014 when she went 11-7 with 136 saves, a 1.76 GAA and .810 save percentage in 18 games. Hartman made more than 100 saves in each of her sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and posted a sub 2.00 goals against average in each as well.
A 2017 graduate of La Salle with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Management, Hartman currently works as an executive assistant for Fraser Advanced Information Systems and Garage Strength Sports Performance. She most recently was the head field hockey coach at Daniel Boone High School in 2017 and 2018.
