Barry enters his first season as an assistant coach with KU Baseball for the 2025 season.
He brings 25 years of experience as a consummate sports professional exceeding program goals and consistently contributing towards the recruitment, retention, and motivation of student-athletes buying into culture and commitment from acceptance through graduation and ongoing alumni participation and support. He is a motivated, process-driven, team-oriented professional specializing in organizational management, mentoring, and coaching.
Barry comes to KU from nearby Albright College, where he was an assistant coach for two seasons. He has made previous stops at schools such as Ave Marie University, Southern Virginia, Lynchburg, Keuka College, Haverford, Catholic University, Centenary College, Virginia Wesleyan and Andrew College.
Barry graduated from Virginia Wesleyan College with a bachelors degree in English in 1997. He received his masters degree in sport management from Old Dominion University in 2000.
