Adam Schafer completed his 14th season as an assistant coach with the Kutztown University baseball team in 2025.
Schafer spent 10 seasons with KU from 2011-20, and returned in 2022. In his first stint, Schafer was part of more than 250 victories, a PSAC championship, three NCAA DII Atlantic Regional appearances and a trip to the 2010 NCAA DII Championship finals.
Prior to his time at Kutztown, Schafer spent two years with Alvernia College. He helped the Crusaders to a PAC championship in 2006, while working primarily with pitchers and catchers.
Before heading to the collegiate ranks, Schafer was an assistant coach at Fleetwood Area High School for six years. In that time, the Tigers made their first district championship appearance in school history and went on to reach the state quarterfinals. He has also worked with college scouts and players to aid in college recruitment.
Schafer has a strong background in all aspects of baseball, which he gained from all levels of the game. He played scholastically at Fleetwood and spent his summers with Berkshire Baseball before being drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers as a catcher in 1998.
Schafer resides in Breinigsville, Pa., with his wife, Katrina, and son, Bryce.
