2016 (Game-by-Game): PSAC Scholar-Athlete...Started in 10 of her 24 appearances for KU in her outstanding freshman campaign. Griffith was a key cog on offense for the Golden Bears as she posted eight goals (eighth in PSAC), two assists and 18 total points. She scored six game-winning goals and had a stretch of five consecutive games with a goal from Oct. 8-Oct. 22...Put away the game-winning goal in the 45th minute in a victory over Charleston (11/13)...Scored the game-winner in a victory over Mercyhurst (10/22)...Notched a goal in a shutout victory over Mansfield (10/19)...Scored two goals including the game-winner in a victory over Gannon (10/15)...Named PSAC Athlete of the Week after scoring three goals, two game-winners, in a week (10/17)...Posted the game-winning goal in a win over Bloomsburg (10/11)...Notched a goal and an assist in a win over Clarion (10/8)...Posted an assist against West Chester (9/13)...Scored first career goal in a win over Charleston (9/3).

Scranton Prep: Griffith was a two-time Times-Tribune All-Region Player of the Year for Scranton Prep High School. She was a two-time Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association All-State player, an NSCAA All-East Region selection as a senior, and was twice named the Lackawanna League Division I MVP. She led the league with 37 goals as a senior with six assists. She combined for 57 goals and 15 assists over her junior and senior years, both of which saw her earn All-Region Player of the Year accolades. She led Scranton prep to four league titles, two district championships and four appearances in the PIAA Class AA tournament.
 
From the Coach: "I originally saw Cara playing in the midfield, where she is very good. I also like her in wide spaces where she can run at defenders and attack 1v1. She is very good on the dribble, she has great technical ability, she can score goals from the midfield or as a forward, and she is very creative on the ball."
