Golden Bears fall to Chestnut Hill

KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Kutztown University women's tennis dropped a non-conference match against Chestnut Hill, 7-0, Monday afternoon at the Keystone Courts.

The Griffins (5-1) took all three doubles matches and were victorious in straight sets at all six singles flights.

Freshmen Myah Marturano (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) and Anna Fisicaro (Pitman, N.J./Pitman) won a team-high two games in their 6-2 doubles defeat against Veronika Lundgren and Fabienne Lahn at No. 2.

Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School) took four games in a 6-2, 6-2 setback against Lundgren at No. 2 singles, while No. 1 Anastassiya Kim (Almaty, Kazakstan) and No. 3 Marturano each won three games in their respective matches.

The Golden Bears (0-2) will travel to Drew Friday, Oct. 2, to face the Rangers at 4 p.m.
