PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Kutztown University women's tennis fell to 26th-ranked Jefferson, 7-0, in a road non-conference match Tuesday afternoon.

Sophomore Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School) fought valiantly at No. 1 singles and doubles, accounting for eight of Kutztown's (4-5) nine game victories against nationally ranked competition.

The Rams (15-5) furnished a pair of 6-0 victories at No. 3 and No. 2 doubles to swiftly secure the doubles point. KU's de Nadai and Maddie Gilbert (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May Regional) took three games at No. 1 against Marta Vazquez and Emily Frost in a 6-3 defeat.

Jefferson continued to control play in singles, winning four of six flights by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

De Nadai was a bright spot in her top flight match against Anouk Oderkerk, the 34th-ranked player in NCAA Division II, taking five games in a 6-2, 6-3 setback.

Kutztown will open PSAC East play next Wednesday, April 1, at Millersville at 3 p.m.
