Golden Bear men consistency has shown at PSAC Championships

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – For the last three seasons, the Kutztown men's indoor track & field team has finished in the top five, specifically fourth, at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championships. KU will look to keep that consistency and even take a step further this weekend at Rausch Fieldhouse.

This is the third consecutive year that Lehigh University's Rausch Fieldhouse will host PSACs. Day one on Saturday, Feb. 28, is set to begin at 11 a.m., while Sunday's final day is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased at the link above. Adults are $15 each day and children ages 2-through-12 are $9 per day. Students from PSAC institutions are free with a valid student ID. Live results and video links can also be found at the top of this page.

The top three finishers in each event will be named to the All-PSAC team and the top two teams in the team standings will take home team trophies. Team points will also be awarded to the top eight finishers in the final of each event.

Michael Fellin (Sheppton, Pa./Marian Catholic) is one of the leading candidates to medal on the track for KU, as he enters second overall in the 60m. Jaydon Witman (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg) is tied for second in the 60 meter hurdles. Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) enters fourth in the mile. Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) is ranked fifth in the 5000m. The distance medley relay team is also the favorite, which consists of a grouping of Willie Wiles (Royersford, Pa./Spring-Ford), Steele Wrigley (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara), Ryan Kenneff (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central), Brocato, Joe Cavalcante (Philadelphia, Pa./La Salle College H.S.) and Joey Pittman (Stafford, Va./Stafford).

In field events, Andrew Szeplaki (Bath, Pa./Northampton) is the top seed with a mark of 5.30m. Jake Kelly (Philadelphia, Pa./Archbishop Ryan) also ranks within the top six in both the shot put and weight throw.

Shippensburg won PSACs last year with 167 points, while East Stroudsburg finished as the runner-up scoring 121.6 points.
