LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Kutztown University's Michael Fellin (Sheppton, Pa./Marian Catholic) was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, the league office announced Monday.
Fellin set a new school record in the 55-meter dash, Friday, as KU hosted the Golden Bear Invitational.
The Sheppton, Pa., native ran the second-fastest time in school history with a 6.33 in prelims before breaking Keith Crowell's 2000 school record of 6.32 with a 6.31 in the finals to win the event.
Friday's meet marked Fellin's final tune-up before he looks to defend his 60m title at the PSAC Indoor Championships. He currently ranks second in the PSAC and 21st in NCAA Division II with a season-best 6.74.
Fellin, last year's PSAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year, has won four weekly awards over the last two seasons.
