KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's soccer team move up into second in the Atlantic Region in the latest NCAA Division II National Power Index (NPI) rankings released Monday morning.
The Golden Bears hold an NPI of 60.087, placing them 12th nationally. KU is the highest ranked PSAC East team in the Atlantic Region, and one of just two teams from the region represented in the national top 25, alongside West Chester at No. 17.
Last week, the Golden Bears earned two shutout victories. Kutztown defeated Lackawanna, 9-0, on Oct. 14, scoring five goals in the first half and four in the second. On Oct. 17, senior forward
Corinne Morgan (Port Republic, N.J./Cedar Creek) scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over Bloomsburg.
The NPI was introduced for the 2026-27 academic year as Division II's data-driven system for evaluating teams for NCAA Championship selection. The rankings account for wins and losses, strength of schedule, and the quality of opponents, allowing programs across conferences and regions to be assessed on a national scale.
Following the initial weekly releases, the NPI rankings are scheduled to transition to daily updates, Monday through Friday, beginning the week of Oct. 26.
Kutztown travels to Millersville on Wednesday, Oct. 21, for a 7 p.m. matchup.
