KINGS POINT, N.Y. -- The Kutztown University women's swim team will head into the upcoming PSAC Championships on a high note after collecting eight event wins at Saturday's USMMA Memorial Invite.

Ana Soto (Hamburg, N.J./Vernon Township) led the Golden Bears with four wins on the afternoon, including the 50-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke individually, and serving as anchor on the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Julia Kopcho (Pemberton, N.J./Camden Catholic), Tatum Rothermel (Halifax, Pa./Halifax) and Sarah Zeminski (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East) all enjoyed multi-win meets.

Rothermel, Zeminski and Soto teamed with Ryleigh Czerwinski (Red Lion, Pa./Red Lion) to open the unscored meet with a victory in the 200 medley relay (1:55.26).

Soto picked up her first individual win of the meet with a 1:03.29 in the 100 back to lead teammate Czerwinski (1:03.40) in a 1-2 finish for the Maroon and Gold. Soto, the school record holder in the 50 free, would set another PSAC cut in the event to post a winning time of 25.03 among 30 competitors.

Kutztown closed the meet on a tear, winning four of the final five non-diving events.

Kopcho (4:48.70) and Birta Smaradottir (Mosfellsbær, Iceland/Commercial College of Iceland) (4:54.17) each swam PSAC qualifying times in another 1-2 finish for KU in the 400 individual medley.

Zeminski won the 100 butterfly in a PSAC cut of 59.49 and Rothermel achieved another PSAC cut in claiming the 200 breaststroke in 2:35.37.

Kopcho and Soto bookended the 400 free relay, while Frannie Pease-Wingenter (Goodyear, Ariz./Millennium) and Annamarie Rodier (Mount Laurel, N.J./Lenape) took the middle legs as the Golden Bears won the event in 3:43.51.

Czerwinski had a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 back and 200 back, while Rodier was the runner-up in the 200 IM and 50 free.

As a team, Kutztown set six PSAC cut times in its final meet before the conference championships, but all came from previously qualified swimmers.

The Golden Bears now turn their focus on training for the next two weeks before heading to York, Pa., for the 2026 PSAC Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center, Feb. 18-21.
