KUTZTOWN, Pa. – In three games last week, three victories for No. 2 Kutztown field hockey, junior midfielder
Jessica Traynor (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) found the back of the cage in every game, tallying four goals, including the game-winners in each of the three games.
Â
In a 2-1 overtime victory over Millersville last Wednesday night, Traynor scored both goals, including the golden goal winner 3:36 into the first overtime period. She also opened the scoring in the 54th minute, giving KU the 1-0 lead.
Â
Against Mansfield in a 3-2 win Saturday, Traynor broke a 2-2 tie with a goal just 4:17 left in regulation, preventing a second straight overtime game for KU.
Â
One day later, Traynor once again found the back of the cage as she opened the scoring of an 8-0 win at Roberts Wesleyan with a goal 2:49 after the opening whistle.
Â
Traynor is tied for third in the PSAC in goals scored with seven.
Â
Kutztown has two top-10 matchups this week, the first is at No. 4 East Stroudsburg on Wednesday. KU hosts No. 6 Bloomsburg this Saturday at 5 p.m., from Andre Reed Stadium.
