WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- In the last regular season meet before the postseason next weekend, a trio from Kutztown men's outdoor track & field earned Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference qualifying standards Friday afternoon at the West Chester University Tune Up meet.
Daron Haggans (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) was the lone Golden Bear track student-athlete to record a PSAC cut time as he finished third overall out of 25 competitors in the 200m with a time of 22.02. Jacob Solonoski (Weatherly, Pa./Weatherly) won the hammer throw out of 15 competitors with a best throw of 53.93m and Kyree Butler (Ambler, Pa./Upper Dublin) placed sixth in the shot put with a PSAC throw of 14.50m.
Joey Pittman (Stafford, Va./Stafford) won the 800m out of 22 competitors and just missed a PSAC time, finishing at 1:56.78, where the cut time is 1:56.50.
The PSAC Outdoor Championships from Slippery Rock University begin next Thursday, May 8, and run through Saturday, May 10.
