NEW ORLEANS – The Kutztown University men's cross country team has been named a United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2024 season. Additionally, three Golden Bear student-athletes were announced as All-Academic Athletes.

Kutztown's most recent team academic award is its second in a row and third in the last four seasons. All-Academic Teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet.

Kutztown ran to a seventh-place finish at the PSAC Championships for head coach
Ray Hoffman and ended the season with a ninth-place showing at the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Championships.

Juniors
Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) and
Kayden Platania (Buena, N.J./Buena Regional), along with freshman
Peyton Small (Littlestown, Pa./Littlestown) claimed All-Academic Athlete status. Platania is a two-time award recipient.

Student-athletes need a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must finish in the top 30 percent of their respective regional championship meet to earn All-Academic distinction.
