LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Kutztown University placed 26 student-athletes on the inaugural Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Academic All-Conference teams, which were released Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
The Academic All-PSAC teams are a new initiative for 2025-26Â and were created to increase academic recognition for high-achieving student-athletes. Teams will be released after the fall, winter and spring seasons. Undergraduate and graduate students must meet academic and athletic requirements to qualify.
To be eligible for the Academic All-PSAC teams, student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (GPA) and complete two seasons of eligibility at the nominating campus and four semesters academically.
Student-athletes achieving the academic criteria must have also played in at least 70 percent of their team's games to qualify in team sports (field hockey, football, soccer and volleyball). Cross country runners must have placed among the top seven for their team in at least three meets or finished in the top half of the field at the PSAC or Atlantic Region Championships to qualify.
The PSAC recognized 343 student-athletes across all 17 conference institutions. Kutztown's 26 honorees were tied for the second-most among PSAC East schools with Bloomsburg and West Chester and tied for fourth overall behind East Stroudsburg (32), Slippery Rock (29) and Seton Hill (28).
Kutztown had eight representatives from football, six from women's soccer, four from men's cross country and field hockey, and two each from women's cross country and women's volleyball.
