BLOOMSBURG, Pa. -- Isabela de Nadai (Vitoria, Brazil/St. Paul's School) and Emma Semery (Fuveau, France/HDN Academy) represented the Kutztown University women's tennis team in the 2024 ITA Atlantic Regional Championships, which kicked off Friday at Bloomsburg University.

de Nadai, a freshman from Vitoria, Brazil, claimed a 6-3, 6-2 straight set victory over Bloomsburg's Lia-Sophie Seele to move into the round of 32 in the singles draw. She'll face Salem's Galia Mezouar on Saturday as she looks to advance deeper into the tournament.

Semery fell to Filippa Larsson of Charleston (W.Va.), 6-2, 6-4, in the opening round and will try to secure a win in the consolation bracket against Bluefield State's Raajitha Koganti.

The two Golden Bears teamed up to compete in the doubles draw as well. They were defeated by Delaney Tingle and Alexandra Cave from PSAC East rival West Chester, 6-2, in the round of 32. de Nadai and Semery will take on sisters Dasha Korsakova and Kate Korsakova from Salem in the consolation round of 16.
