LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The distance medley relay squad of Andrew Diehl (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle), Joe Cavalcante (Philadelphia, Pa./La Salle College H.S.), Port Habalar (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport), and Adam Brocato (Reisterstown, Md./Calvert Hall) ran the fastest time in the PSAC so far this season as the Kutztown Univeristy men's track & field competed on the first day of the Bison Open & Multi at the Gerhard Fieldhouse in Lewisburg Friday evening.

The foursome ran a time of 10:24.06, good enough for second place in the event right behind division one Bucknell. It was the eighth fastest time in program history and second fastest in division two entering Friday night. 

The Golden Bears' other top performances came from pole vaulters Joe Jardine (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) and Nate Schaeffer (Mohrsville, Pa./Schuylkill Valley). Jardine won the pole vault event for the fifth time in five meets this season, clearing the bar at 4.80m (15'9"). That earned him a PSAC and NCAA provisional mark. Schaeffer finished fourth in the event with a PSAC jump of 4.35m (14'3.25").

Daron Haggans (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) finished top five in the 200m with a time of 22.58, which earned him fourth. Robby Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) earned a PSAC mark in the 5000 with a time of 15:33.33.

KU is back in action for day two of the Bison Open & Multi tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
