BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- The Kutztown University men's cross country team made the short trip to Bethlehem to take part in the 49th annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears finished 15th out of 34 teams.

True freshman Andrew Diehl (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) turned in another great performance for Ray Hoffman's squad, pacing the Golden Bears yet again, finishing 24th with a time of 26:27.9.  Jack Hollar (East Stroudsburg, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), Robbie Lloyd (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), and Connor Murphy (Nazareth, Pa./Nazareth) were the other Golden Bears to finish in the top 100. Murphy did a great job in the final 3,000 meters of the race, making up 17 spots to earn a top-100 finish. 

Kayden Platania (Buena, N.J./Buena Regional), Port Habalar (Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport), Mason English (Palmyra, Pa./Lower Dauphin), Jacob Huber (Bethlehem, Pa./Saucon Valley), and Cody Schabener (Reading, Pa./Exeter Township) rounded out the Golden Bears who finished on the day. Trinity (Tex.) won the race with only 74 points, followed by Marywood, Swarthmore, RIT, and Redlands. 

The Golden Bears are back in action next Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Bloomsburg Invitational.
