NEW ORLEANS, La. – For the first time in three years, the Kutztown University women's rugby team will be competing at the National Collegiate Rugby Championships this weekend in New Orleans, LA. Hosted by MLR's NOLA Gold, the national championship tournament will be played at the Shrine on Airline stadium and adjacent fields over Memorial Day, May 28-30.
The Golden Bears are in the Women's DI Club portion of the tournament. They will play three games in pool play, all on Saturday, May 28, at Field #1 outside of the main stadium. Kutztown will open with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 11:40 a.m., followed by a match with the University of Texas at 2:20 p.m., and then will take on the University of Central Missouri at 5:20 p.m.
If KU advances out of pool round play, the quarterfinal round is set for Sunday, May 29, beginning at 8 a.m.
All stadium matches will be broadcast through CBS Sport Network or The Rugby Network. Select other games will be broadcasted through YouTube.

Kutztown competed in four tournaments during the spring season, the last being at the ACRA Championships in Stonington, CT, on May 1. KU finished fourth in the pool.
