KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Leigh Roselli (Romansville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) of the Kutztown University field hockey team and KU men's cross country and track & field's Andrew Sulon (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) earned the distinction of being named the 2021-22 Senior Scholar-Athletes of the Year on Tuesday night at the Kutztown University athletic department's senior awards dinner, held at South Dining Hall. It was the first end of year celebration for KU athletics since 2019.
 
Roselli is the fifth field hockey player all-time to receive the award since it was first given out in 2005, and the first since Courtney Konowal in 2018. Sulon is the fourth member of the track & field team to earn the distinction and first since Caleb Baukman in 2019.
 
A Romansville native, Roselli is a 2021 graduate cum laude with a degree in biology education. She's currently pursuing her master's in secondary education curriculum & instruction. She achieved a 3.55 undergrad GPA and holds a perfect 4.00 graduate GPA. Roselli is a four-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete, four-time Dean's List honoree, four-time NFHCA National Academic Squad member, 2021 NFHCA Scholar of Distinction and the 2021 NFHCA Division II National Scholar-Athlete of the Year --the first in program history. On the field, Roselli is a two-time NFHCA All-America Second Team selection and three-time All-PSAC Second Team pick.
 
A native of Mechanicsburg, Sulon is a 2021 winter graduate of KU magna cum laude with a degree in business administration and an accounting focus. He posted a 3.70 GPA. Sulon is a four-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete, five-time KU Dean's List member and received multiple USTFCCCA All-Academic and D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recognitions. He was a two-time All-PSAC finisher in cross country, attaining First Team honors in 2019 and Second Team honors in 2020.
