YORK, Pa. -- Gracie McKee (Boyertown, Pa./Boyertown) put an exclamation point on her first PSAC Championships by breaking Kutztown University women's swimming's 25-year old 200-yard backstroke record with a 2:03.22 in preliminaries and going on to score a silver medal in the event Saturday night at the Graham Aquatic Center.

McKee had a standout week in York, breaking her own school record in the 100 butterfly Thursday, capturing bronze in the 100 back Friday and capping it off with a school record and second medal Saturday.

In the morning's prelim heats, McKee laid down the second-fastest time out of 28 swimmers in the 200 back with a 2:03.22, toppling Claudine Gruver's previous record of 2:03.54, set back in 1997. The Boyertown native gave everything she had in the A Final, ultimately coming home with the silver medal in a time of 2:04.33 behind only West Chester's Callie Paff, who set a NCAA B qualifying time of 2:02.21.

Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) was also a finalist in the 200 back, competing in the C Final. She took 24th overall in 2:15.93, after swimming a season-best 2:15.31 in prelims.

In the C Final of the 200 breast, Jade Ware (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) put forth a personal- and season-best with a 2:35.59 to place 23rd.

Kutztown wrapped up the meet with its best 400 free relay time of the year, as McKee, Emmarose DeCaro (Apex, N.C./Apex), Ainsley Fischer (Newark, Del./Delaware Military Academy) and Keelie Walker (York, Pa./York Suburban) teamed up for a 3:42.67, good for 10th.

The Golden Bears placed ninth in the team standings for the second time in the last three years after not competing at the 2021 championships due to COVID-19 canceling their season. KU's four-day total of 288 points is its highest point total since the 2010 PSAC Championships, when the Bears placed fourth with 351 points.
