WEST BABYLON, N.Y. -- Kutztown University's Chloe Sromovski (Wilkes-Barre, Pa./G.A.R. Memorial) was recognized as the first East Coast Conference (ECC) Women's Bowling Rookie of the Week for the 2021-22 season, the league office announced Friday afternoon.

Sromovski led Kutztown with a 189.6 average in traditional play, Sunday, at the Bud Whitman Memorial, rolling three 200+ games. The Wilkes-Barre, Pa., native started with a 221 in a victory over Chestnut Hill --her best game of the day. She bowled a 200 in a win over Wilmington (Del.) in KU's middle match and closed the day with a 212 in a loss to Mount St. Mary's.

Sromovski finished eighth in the individual standings and helped the Golden Bears to a 6-4 record on the weekend with fourth-place finishes in both Baker and traditional play. She started all five Baker matches, Saturday, but her final stats were unavailable at nomination deadline.

Kutztown will be back on the lanes this weekend at the Mount Shootout, hosted by Mount St. Mary's.
