2020-21 KUTZTOWN CHEERLEADING VIDEO TRYOUT APPLICATION

KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Kutztown University cheer team announced Friday that it will switch to virtual tryouts for the upcoming 2020-21 season.

Interested candidates should complete the first round of the online/virtual format by completing the video tryout application.

Following completion, candidates who meet skills and requirements necessary will be invited to submit a video showcasing skills and material as well as host a virtual interview process.
 
The first round 2020-21 Kutztown University cheer team will be selected no later than May 11, 2020.

TRYOUT REQUIREMENTS
The Kutztown University cheer team is seeking dedicated individuals who wish to participate in a year-round activity. The team focus in 2020-21 will be dedication and team work.  While skills will be evaluated, a strong focus will be on your interview and your letters of recommendation. Cheerleaders will not only be evaluated on physical skills but also on leadership and presentation.

Stunting:
Base or Top a shoulder stand
Base, Back or Top a Heel Stretch Full Down
Base, Back or Top a 360 Full up to Extension
Coed, Toss Hands, Press to Extension
 
Tumbling: 
Standing Backhandspring (not all candidates will be considered)
Standing Back Tuck (required to compete)
Standing Backhandspring - Tuck & Toe Touch - Tuck - (desired competition skills)
POWER HURDLE Roundoff Tuck (required to compete)
Running Round Off Backhanspring to Layout or Full - (desired competition skills)
