Stats | Video

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – After a season-long three-game road trip, the Kutztown University men's basketball team is back at Keystone Arena, as it will host Bloomsburg University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East Division game Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Golden Bears (8-11 overall, 6-7 PSAC) are 5-3 at home this season and are looking to halt a two-game skid. They have won two straight on the Keystone Arena floor. Kutztown is tied for fourth with East Stroudsburg (10-8, 6-7) in the East standings, one game behind Millersville (10-9, 7-6) for third and two behind West Chester (14-5, 8-5) for second.

Expect a high-scoring game as each team ranks in the top-six in the PSAC in scoring offense. The Huskies (8-11, 5-8) are third at 82.8 points per game and KU ranks sixth with 79.8 ppg. Kutztown has scored at least 80 points in each of the last three games, and six-of-seven against Bloomsburg. KU has won the last seven meetings between the two.

The Maroon and Gold is top-five in both three-point percentage (36.4) and free-throw percentage (76.6), ranking fifth and second respectively. Bloomsburg is fifth in field goal percentage (46.6).

Freshman Wesley Butler (Reading, Pa./Reading) leads the team in scoring with 18.7 points per game, seventh-best in the PSAC, and second-highest by a first-year player. Tarojae Brake (Coatesville, Pa./Octorara) is averaging 14.9 ppg, just on the outside of the top-20 in PSAC scoring leaders. Ryan 'Boz' Bernstein (Bronx, N.Y./Marianapolis Prep) is recording 9.1 ppg and leads the team with 3.7 assists per game. His 2.6 assist-to-turnover ratio is tops in the PSAC.

Sophomore Kyree Generett (York, Pa./William Penn) is averaging 8.8 ppg and ranks eighth in the conference in free-throw percentage at 84.1-percent. Senior Josh Townsend (Philadelphia, Pa./Imhotep Charter), a two-time PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week, is scoring at a 7.5 ppg clip, and his 8.1 rebounds per game is fourth-best in the PSAC. Junior Facundo Arens (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Bahia Blanca) is averaging 6.2 ppg and 3.6 rpg, and sophomore Akello Mosby (Philadelphia, Pa./Carver) is scoring 5.2 ppg and is just outside the top-20 in the league at 5.7 rpg.

Bloomsburg's Justin Anderson (17.5 ppg) and Ky Mauras (17.4) rank 12th and 14th respectively in scoring, and the KU defense will surely have to account for the duo.
