Seven from Kutztown selected as PSAC CFB150 Contributors

KUTZTOWN, Pa. -- Seven former Kutztown University football players were included on the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference's (PSAC) CFB150 Contributors list, released Monday afternoon at the conference's Media Day.

The list includes 150 of the most influential players, coaches and contributors to college football from PSAC institutions and was rolled out in conjunction with the nationwide CFB150 campaign, which celebrates 150 years of college football.

Representing Kutztown on the PSAC CFB150 Contributors list are:

DAVE BORDEN, 1999-2003
Borden, a wide receiver for the Golden Bears, was the recipient of the 2013 NCAA Inspiration Award. Following a playing career in which he collected 45 receptions for 617 yards and six touchdowns, Borden went on to serve with the United States Marines Corps in Iraq and Afghanistan.

BRUCE HARPER, 1974-76
Harper holds distinction as Kutztown University's first 1,000-yard rusher and ranks eighth all-time at the school with 2,169 career rushing yards. Harper, a two-time All-PSAC East First Team selection and three-time all-conference pick overall, ran for 1,132 yards and 11 touchdowns in 1976, both marks that rank in the top 10 among KU's single-season leaders. He went on to play eight seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets and is the franchise leader in kick return yards with 5,407.

JOHN MOBLEY, 1991-95
Mobley ended his storied KU career as the program's second all-time leading tackler with 387. He also ranks seventh in career sacks with 19. Mobley became the Golden Bears' highest NFL Draft pick ever when he was selected in the first round, 15th overall, by the Denver Broncos in 1996. The three-time All-PSAC East selection and 1995 All-American went on to record 613 tackles and 10.5 sacks during an eight-year pro career --all with the Broncos. Mobley was named an NFL All-Pro in 1997 and helped Denver win back-to-back titles in Super Bowl XXXII and Super Bowl XXXIII following the 1997 and 1998 seasons.

JORDAN MORGAN, 2013-16
KU's most recent NFL Draft pick, Morgan was picked in the fifth round of the 2017 draft by the Chicago Bears. Morgan, who currently plays for the New York Jets, was a two-time AFCA All-America offensive lineman for the Maroon and Gold. He received the 2016 Gene Upshaw Award as NCAA Division II's top lineman and was invited to the 2017 Reese's Senior Bowl. The conference coaches voted Morgan 2016 PSAC East Athlete of the Year and he was recognized on the All-PSAC East First Team three times.

KEVIN MORTON, 2009-12
The top passer in KU history, Morton continues to hold seven school records and was a two-time PSAC East Athlete of the Year (2010 and 2011). Morton is the program's career leader in passing yards (11,612), touchdown passes (119), completions (912) and pass attempts (1,447). Among the program's single-season leaders, the three-time All-PSAC East honoree is tops in passing yards (3,633 in 2010), completions (284 in 2012) and passing touchdowns (38 in 2010). In 2011, Morton quarterbacked the Golden Bears to their first PSAC championship, a school-record 11 wins and the second round of the NCAA Championship tournament.

ANDRE REED, 1981-84
Reed was the first Golden Bear wide receiver to eclipse 2,000 career receiving yards and finished his KU career with 2,002 yards and 14 touchdowns on 142 receptions before embarking on a hall of fame pro career with the Buffalo Bills. Selected by the Bills in the fourth round of the 1985 NFL Draft, Reed established himself as the best receiver in franchise history with 941 catches for 13,095 yards and 86 touchdowns over 15 seasons. He was named to the NFL Pro Bowl seven straight years from 1989-95 and earned Second Team All-Pro honors three times. At Kutztown, Reed collected All-PSAC East accolades three times, including a pair of First Team nods. Reed ranks as Buffalo's all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

MARK STEINMEYER, 1988-91
Steinmeyer was a dual threat out of the backfield and a vital part of the Golden Bears' return game. He holds school records for all-purpose yards in a season (2,260 in 1990) and a career (6,210). Steinmeyer earned All-PSAC East honors three times, including two First Team selections and 1988 PSAC Rookie of the Year. Steinmeyer's 200 receptions are the most ever in NCAA Division II by a running back and his 2,118 receiving yards stood as an NCAA DII record by a running back until 2005. Steinmeyer finished fourth in the national voting for the 1991 Harlon Hill Trophy, awarded to the most valuable player in Division II. He was twice a regional finalist for the trophy. A 1991 AP Little All-America Second Team member, Steinmeyer rushed for more than 1,800 yards and 17 touchdowns while collecting 1,470 kick return and a school-record 813 punt return yards during his KU career.
