BLOOMSBURG, Pa. --  Three players represented the Kutztown University women's tennis team in the 2019 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Individual Championships, which began on Saturday in Bloomsburg.

In the singles bracket, senior Alicia Pursell (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg) dropped an opening round match to West Chester's Elaina Lee in straight sets 6-4, 6-3, while teammate Elyssa Tomczyk (Plainville, Conn./Plainville) also fell in the round of 32, 6-0, 6-2, to Millersville's Julia Wallace.

Pursell teamed up with Amanda Grebosky (Reisterstown, Md./Mount de Sales Academy) as the Golden Bears' doubles entry. The duo were defeated by Mercyhurst's Athina Tsagkaraki and Naomi Jahr, 8-0.

Kutztown will play at home for the first time this fall when Mercyhurst visits the Keystone Courts on Friday, Oct. 11, at 3 p.m.
