KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's soccer team, winners of three straight games, returns home after a three-game road trip to square off against unbeaten Millersville University Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 3 p.m. at Keystone Field in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) match. It is the first of two home games this week, with California (PA) coming to town on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The Golden Bears (4-1 overall, 2-1 PSAC) suffered their first setback of the 2018 season the last time they were on the grass of Keystone Field, falling 1-0 in overtime to Slippery Rock on Sept. 1.
But KU did not let the sting of a last-minute loss last long as it defeated Shepherd University 2-0 the very next day. Two consecutive PSAC victories over Lock Haven (Sept. 5) and Gannon (Sept. 8) helped Kutztown gain traction in the league standings, jumping into the top-five with six points thus far.

Emily Zwiercan (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) leads KU with three goals and six points. She has scored in three-of-five games and two of the last three. Senior captain
Alyssa Ryan (North Wales, Pa./Wissahickon) is second with two goals, both coming in the last two games, including the game-winner in the 1-0 win at Gannon. Freshman
Kayla Argen (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) has two assists, which ranks first on KU and tied for sixth in the conference.

Kristina Miller (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) also has a goal on the year, and classmate
Schyler Ackerman (Mountville, Pa./Hempfield) has an assist.
The Kutztown defense has allowed just one goal all season, first in the PSAC. Junior goalie
Jenna Bracken (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) leads the PSAC in save percentage (.952), is tied for first in shutouts (three) and fourth in total saves (20). Senior
Imani Taylor (Voorhees, N.J./Eastern Regional) also has a shutout victory on her resume this season.
Millersville (4-0, 3-0) enters the game at the top of the PSAC leaderboard and is one of just two teams that is unbeaten in the conference, joining West Chester (3-0-1, 2-0-1) The Marauders have beaten PSAC foes California (3-1), Bloomsburg (2-1) and most recently Pitt-Johnstown (1-0). They are led by forward Kay Liebl, who leads the PSAC in goals (five) and points (12).
The Marauders have given up just two goals on the year and have scored 12. Their three goals per game scoring average ranks first in the conference.
Saturday's game against the Vulcans (1-3, 0-3) is Youth Camper Day at Keystone Field. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
