MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore Alicia Pursell (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg Area) of the Kutztown University women's tennis team had an undefeated day, winning her singles and doubles matches, highlighting KU's 7-2 setback at Millersville University Saturday afternoon in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
 
The Golden Bears, who won their PSAC opener against Shippensburg last Tuesday, March 27, is now 1-1 in league play.
 
Junior Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) teamed with Pursell in recording the 8-5 victory at No. 2 doubles.
 
Sophomore Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) went to a three-set match at No. 1 singles, but fell 6-2, 5-7, 1-6. Malik took her singles match to a deciding tie-break set, but lost 4-6, 6-7 (1-7). Kara Urland (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) won a combined nine games at No. 4 singles in  a 5-7, 4-6 defeat.
 
Kutztown has a quick turnaround, as it hosts West Chester University on Monday, April 2 at 3:30 p.m. at Keystone Courts.
