KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Kutztown University's 21st-ranked women's bowling team prepares for this weekend's East Coast Conference (ECC) Championships in Port Jefferson, N.Y. from Friday through Sunday, Mar. 23-25.

Live video for Sunday-only can be viewed here: http://eccsportsnetwork.com/landing/index

This will be the first time that the winner of the ECC Championship will have an automatic bid into the NCAA National Championships in St. Louis, Mo. on Thursday, Apr. 12 to Sunday, Apr. 15.

The Golden Bears are coming off a 15th-place finish at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Team Sectionals. Kutztown was led by freshman Dana Henry (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township), who had a frame average of 18.4, with freshman Keanna Delp (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) holding a 17.4 average and sophomore Angela Kozma (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South) ending with a 17.05 average.

This is the third year that the ECC Championships will be in existence. Adelphi has won both conference championships the past two seasons, including a win over Kutztown in the inaugural championship in 2016. The Golden Bears went 1-2 in last year's tournament, when Kozma was the lone Golden Bear to be named to the ECC Women's Bowling Championships All-Tournament Team.

The teams competing in the ECC Championships this weekend: No. 11 Adelphi, Chestnut Hill, Daemen, Felician, Franklin Pierce, No. 23 Lincoln Memorial, LIU Post, Molloy, Robert Wesleyan, Saint Thomas Aquinas, and Wilmington.
