No. 24 Women’s Bowling Rolls to Two Victories at D2-D3 Wildcat Invitational

Results

WILMINGTON, Del. – The 24th-ranked Kutztown University women's bowling team notched two victories on Friday, securing a 2-3 record in its five matches on the opening day of the D2/D3 Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington University.

Keanna Delp (Mifflinburg, Pa./Mifflinburg Area) posted a team-high frame average of 18.24 pins per frame on the day, bowling in all 50 of KU's frames. Angela Kozma (Beachwood, N.J./Toms River South) also had a solid day for the Maroon and Gold with a frame average of 17.5 in 50 frames bowled. Dana Henry (Oakhurst, N.J./Ocean Township) rounded out Kutztown's top-three bowlers on the first day of the invite, rolling a frame average of 17.0 in 33 frames.

The Golden Bears got off to a tough start, falling in their first two matches against No. 15 Adelphi University and Caldwell University. KU then righted the ship, however, winning its next two matches versus Chestnut Hill College and Medaille College to even its record at 2-2.

Kutztown continued its hot play in the final match versus the host-Wildcats, but a game Wilmington squad pulled out a high-scoring 941-919 result.

Action from Wilmington resumes tomorrow, Dec. 1 at 9:55 a.m. with the schedule to be decided.
