Box Score SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – One day after the Kutztown University women's tennis team opened up Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) play with a victory, KU was on the wrong end of a result, falling 6-0 Saturday afternoon to Slippery Rock University in PSAC action.
It is the second and final PSAC match for the Golden Bears (1-1) this Fall.
The No. 1 doubles team of
Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) and
Alicia Pursell (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg Area) and the No. 2 doubles duo of
Catherine Maher (Shillington, Pa./Berks Catholic) and
Sarah Grebosky (Reisterstown, Md./Mount De Sales Academy) each won three games but both were defeated 6-3 as the Rock would earn the point in doubles action.
Slippery Rock won five singles matches, with No. 2 singles unable to be finished.
Kutztown wraps up its fall season with a home match against Saint Thomas Aquinas on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at 3 p.m. at Keystone Courts.
