Live Stats | Live Video

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The 13th-ranked Kutztown University women's soccer team will be playing under the lights for the first and only time this season when it takes on Clarion University in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) game tomorrow, Saturday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.

The Golden Bears (8-2 overall, 6-2 PSAC) will have a week off since they last played, a 2-0 victory at Mercyhurst University last Saturday, Sept. 29.

Junior forward Emily Zwiercan (Reinholds, Pa./Cocalico) netted both goals in the victory over the Lakers. She is fifth in the PSAC with seven goals on the year, and fourth with 16 points (seven goals, two assists). Her 26 career goals puts her in a tie for fourth all-time in program history. Zwiercan is also fourth in career assists (17) and fifth in points (69).

Junior goalie Jenna Bracken (Wanaque, N.J./Lakeland Regional) finished with three saves against Mercyhurst and won for the seventh time this season and the 27th time in her career, which ranks second all-time at KU. She leads the PSAC with a .331 goals against average and a .939 save percentage.

The Kutztown defense ranks first in the conference with a 0.30 goals against average. Junior captain Kristina Miller (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) is the backbone and center of the back line. She is one of three Golden Bears to start in all 10 games this season, along with Zwiercan and Maddie Mohr (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown Area). Erica Monte Carlo (Sewell, N.J./Washington Township), Kaylee Kupiec (Deptford, N.J./Gloucester Catholic), Anna Hull (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley), Molly McHarg (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford), Courtney Browning (Camp Hill, Pa./Camp Hill) and Alisea Munshower (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) have all started at least two games in the back.

Senior captain Alyssa Ryan (North Wales, Pa./Wissahickon) has two goals this season and freshman Kayla Argen (Cresco, Pa./Pocono Mountain East) is second on the team with five points (one goal, three assists).

The Clarion game opens up a stretch of four games in eight days for Kutztown, with games next week at Shippensburg (10/9), vs. Mansfield (10/12) and at IUP (10/14).
