NEWARK, Del. – The Kutztown University women's rugby team had its closest match of the season, but just like in every other one this year, it came out on the winning end, holding on to defeat the University of Delaware 30-19 last Saturday on the road.
After a week off from action, the Golden Bears (5-0 overall) picked up right where they left off, winning for the fifth time in five games this fall season.
Nicolle Dudkewic (Effort, Pa./Pleasant Valley) led the team with two tries.
Taya Jackson (East Stroudsburg, Pa./East Stroudsburg Area South),
Sarah Masters (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy),
Tamlyn Cowan (Jefferson, N.J./Jefferson Township) and
Karleigh Davila (Clifton, N.J./Clifton) all had one try each.
Kutztown will wrap up its regular season on the road, looking to remain undefeated when it travels to take on Saint Joseph's on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 11 a.m.
