KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The 19th-ranked Kutztown University football team will sport a national ranking at home for the first time since the 2012 season when it hosts Lock Haven University on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 2:05 p.m. at Andre Reed Stadium in celebration of Homecoming weekend.

The Golden Bears (5-0 overall, 2-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division) won their fifth straight game this season over the weekend, defeating East Stroudsburg University 35-33 last Sat. Oct. 6 under the lights at Eiler-Martin Stadium during ESU's Homecoming weekend.

KU has not lost a game since Oct. 28, 2017, riding a seven-game unbeaten streak. Kutztown is 5-0 for the first time since the 2010 season when it started 9-0 on the way to an NCAA Tournament appearance.

Head coach Jim Clements looks to win his 100th career game Saturday.

Redshirt-junior quarterback Collin DiGalbo (Secane, Pa./Monsignor Bonner) continued the Maroon and Gold's run of consecutive PSAC East Offensive Athletes of the Week after he earned his second honor this season, throwing for season-highs of four touchdowns and 344 yards, going 26-for-39. The offense piled up 547 total yards. Craig Reynolds (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington) was voted AOW after weeks one and four of KU's regular season, DiGalbo achieved it week two followed by Eric Nickel (Bridgewater, N.J./Bridgewater-Raritan). The run even dates back to the final week of the regular season when Chris Kane (Maple Glen, Pa./La Salle College) earned the accolade.

KU is second in the PSAC in scoring at 38.6 points per game and has compiled 28 touchdowns in five games. Reynolds has 12 touchdowns total, Conor Sullivan (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) has four touchdown receptions, Abdul-Hassan Neblett (Newark, N.J./Paramus Catholic) caught two touchdowns on the year and Amadou Barry (Upper Darby, Pa./West Catholic Prep), Diego Torres (York, Pa./West York Area), Josh Lee (Willow Grove, Pa./Abington (Thaddeus Stevens)) and Tyler Borg (Lititz, Pa./Lititz Christian) all have one touchdown through the air. KU has allowed just 0.8 sacks per game, second in the PSAC and ninth in Division II.

On defense, Shawn Turber-Ortiz (Northumberland, Pa./Shikellamy) leads the way with 51 tackles, one sack and one interception. Ahkee Cox-Cowan (Harrisburg, Pa./Harrisburg) has 22 tackles and eight pass breakups. He ranks second in school history with 39 career breakups. Jake Perry (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin) leads KU with two interceptions and sports 12 career interceptions, seventh in school history.

Lock Haven (1-5, 1-1) is near the bottom of the PSAC, averaging 15.7 points per game and giving up 44.5 ppg. The Bald Eagles main threat is Bryan Greene who ranks in the top-15 in the league with 24 receptions for 310 yards and a touchdown.

KU has won the last 10 meetings between these two sides, dating back to 2003.
