LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Kutztown women's swimming team claimed 13 first-place finishes to highlight its second meet victory over Lock Haven University this season, winning by a 131-90 final.
 
Claire Frank (Macungie, Pa./Emmaus) improved on her PSAC mark in the 100-back, touching the wall with a time of 1:01.50, four tenths of a second better than her previous best this season, recorded at the Millersville Relay Carnival on Oct. 7. Frank also established a new PSAC mark in the 200-back, winning with a time of 2:15.85 to complete her sweep of the backstroke events. Swimming in four total events, Frank claimed a victory in the 200-IM and swam the lead leg for KU's winning 200-medley relay team, which also featured Bridget Perdoch (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury), Kara Jones (Greencastle, Pa./James Buchanan) and Katerina Parowski (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area).
 
Perdoch and Jones each won multiple events on the day as well, as Perdoch reached an existing PSAC mark in the 100-breast, finishing in 1:11.51. Jones finished first in the 500-free and also hit an existing PSAC mark of her own, completing her swim in the 200-fly in 2:21.65.
 
Lindsay Brenneman (Dover, Pa./Dover Area) took the top spot in both the 1000-free and 100-fly, posting times of 11:20.52 and 1:04.11, respectively.
 
All six freestyle events were swept by the Golden Bears as Jocelyn Seidt (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson) won the 200-free, Parowski won the 50-free and 100-free and the team of Carley Wise (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser), Alison McLaughlin (Hatfield, Pa./North Penn), Madi Bleiler (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern) and Parowski won the 200-free relay.
 
Linnea Pierson (Green Township, N.J./Newton) rounded out the banner day of first-place finishers for the Maroon and Gold, posting a time of 2:41.35 in the 200-breast to claim her first ever victory in collegiate competition. 

The Maroon and Gold return to the pool in two weeks on Saturday, Jan. 27 for a tri-meet with Millersville and LIU Post, of which will also include senior day festivities for Bleiler, Alexis Cable (Thomasville, Pa./Spring Grove (Mansfield)), Meredith Heydt (Allentown, Pa./Salisbury (Lehigh Carbon CC)), Jones, Gab Louden (Crum Lynne, Pa./Ridley), Perdoch, Rachael Pietropolo (Claymont, Del./Concord) and Suzanne Selman (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh).
