SALISBURY, Md. – Stephanie Bresadola (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) had a career day in the opening cross country meet of the 2017 season.
 
The junior beat a personal record time and also finished in first place at the Salisbury Fall Classic Invitational Saturday afternoon.
 
Her time of 21:57.16, along with five other runners finishing inside the top-11, helped lead the Golden Bears to a first place finish out of six teams.
 
Junior Alexis Dongvort (Schnecksville, Pa./Parkland) also beat a personal record, placing fourth with a time of 22:29.59.
 
Amanda Ferraro (Howell, N.J./Howell) ended in fifth at a time of 22:52.03. Katie Duguid (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Dootleen Joseph (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) and Lindsay Hoffman (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) rounded out KU's top-11 finishers.
 
All 12 of Kutztown's runners that competed finished in the top-22.
 
Erin Callaghan (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Valley), Sarah Shannon (Clifton, N.J./Passaic County Technical), Leah Talley (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville), Lindsay Smyth (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove), Shannon McChesney (Valencia, Pa./Mars Area), Julie Stratton (Stratford, N.J./Sterling) and Julia Wiemken (Howell, N.J./Howell) rounded out the remaining runners. Talley, McChesney and Stratton all broke personal records Saturday.
 
Host Salisbury finished in second-place, followed by Shenandoah in third, Northern Virginia CC, Delaware Tech CC and Anne Arundel CC were the final three of the standings.

Kutztown returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. as it competes in its annual Division II/III Challenge at Kutztown University.
