KUTZTOWN, Pa. –
Alicia Pursell (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg Area) and
Shadimon Navarro (Whitehall, Pa./Whitehall) won their second-straight singles matches Thursday to lead the Kutztown University women's tennis team to its second-straight team win in 6-3 fashion over Harford Community College at the Keystone Courts.
In doubles, the duo won 8-0 at the second flight.
Ashley Carter (Eynon, Pa./Valley View) and
Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) also won in doubles play, 8-4.
Harford won the top-two singles matches, but KU won the ensuing four.
Malik won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3, Pursell won 6-2, 6-3 at the fourth flight,
Kady Wuagon (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and Navarro rounded out the singles winners with a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 6 singles.
The Golden Bears (2-5) open conference-play on the road on Saturday, March 25, at West Chester University beginning at 1 p.m.
