KUTZTOWN, Pa. – With both teams coming off wins at Mansfield to complete the first half of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) schedule, the Kutztown University women's and men's basketball teams look to carry momentum into the homestretch as they host Bloomsburg on Wednesday night. The Golden Bear women welcome the Huskies to Keystone Arena for a 5:30 p.m. tip, with the men facing off against the Huskies at 7:30 p.m.

Kutztown pulled off its largest comeback in 18+ years on Saturday, rallying from 25 points down in the final 13:42 to stun Mansfield, 69-68, and move into the final playoff berth in the PSAC East thanks to reigning PSAC East Freshman of the Week Sierra Taylor (Williamstown, N.J./Camden Catholic)'s 3-pointer with 45 seconds left. The Golden Bears will attempt to hold off another team fighting for a playoff spot as Bloomsburg sits in a tie for seventh in the division, just one game behind KU after winning its previous two – both of which were in conference. The Huskies have had the upper hand in the series as of late, winning 14 straight dating back to 2010-11, but the two meetings last season were decided by a combined seven points.

MEN
#14 Kutztown (9-2 PSAC, 13-2) vs. Bloomsburg (5-6 PSAC, 9-6)

Kutztown will attempt to secure its second six-game winning streak of the season on Wednesday – something the Golden Bears have not done since the 2008-09 campaign. The Maroon and Gold's winning streak was kept alive in thrilling fashion on Saturday as Ethan Ridgeway (West Chester, Pa./Bayard Rustin) beat the buzzer with a running 3-pointer at the top of the arch to down Mansfield, 91-88, in overtime. The victory assured third-place KU would stay on pace towards the top of the PSAC East standings, just one and two games behind Shippensburg and East Stroudsburg, respectively, and four games ahead of two fourth-place teams. One of those two fourth-place teams is Bloomsburg, who won its second consecutive game, 52-43, on Saturday against Millersville. To win a third straight, the Huskies will have to win inside of Keystone Arena, something they have not done in their previous 13 tries.

KU is back on the road at Millersville on Saturday, Jan. 21, with the women tipping at 1 p.m. and the men following at 3 p.m.
