KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Alicia Pursell (Hamburg, Pa./Hamburg Area) won a team-high seven singles games, but the Kutztown University women's tennis team fell to the University of the Sciences 9-0 on Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match at Keystone Courts.
 
Pursell took three games in the first set and four in the second in a 6-3, 6-4 setback at No. 6 singles.
 
Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) and Taylor Capoferri (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter-Strasburg) also won games in both singles sets at the first and second singles flight, respectively.
 
The Golden Bears (0-2) look ahead to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Individual Championships next weekend, Sept. 30-Oct.2, at Bloomsburg University.
