Results: Match 1 | Match 2 CHEYNEY, Pa. – Three members of the Kutztown University women's tennis team won two matches in the opener on Tuesday to highlight the team's two 6-0 road wins at Cheyney University in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.
In doubles action, all three teams won by 8-0 scores.
Moving into singles play,
Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) earned a straight-set victory at 6-0, 6-0 at the top flight. She teamed with
Jessica Burns (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) at the top doubles pairing.
Yasmeen Malik (Wernersville, Pa./Conrad Weiser) also won her singles match 6-0, 6-0, hers at No. 2 singles. Malik teamed with
Kara Urland (Saylorsburg, Pa./Pleasant Valley) at No. 2 doubles in their 8-0 win.
Kady Wuagon (Langhorne, Pa./Neshaminy) was Kutztown's final singles winner, as the final three singles matches went unfinished. She won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3.
Kutztown returns to action this weekend at the Bloomsburg Duals. Action begins on Saturday, April 9 at 8:30 a.m.
