Kutztown (38-27) started off the day with a 975-943 setback to 13th-ranked Saint Francis (PA), but then reeled off five consecutive victories to finish out the day. KU defeated Thiel College (869-669), Morgan State (1029-904), Penn State Altoona (1025-817), Saint Peter's (960-787) and Coppin State (920-570).

Saint Francis (PA) is the lone undefeated team remaining in the tournament at 10-0, while KU is in second at 9-1. Saint Francis (PA) leads the tournament with a 193.3 average per game, while Kutztown is in second at 185.3. The Golden Bears led the field with a total traditional score of 5,746 on Saturday and are second in total pinfall at 10,194 in the first two days of competition.
Senior
Lauren Stamm (Reading, Pa./Governor Mifflin) led the entire field with a scoring average of 211.83 on Saturday, while teammate
Amanda Wilson (Leesport, Pa./Schuylkill Valley) was second with an average of 209.50. Stamm recorded four games of 200 or more and Wilson had three games of 215 or more.
Seniors
Taylor Strothmann (Maywood, N.J./Immaculate Heart Academy) and
Kayla Maselkevich (Drums, Pa./Hazleton Area) posted scoring averages of 190.80 and 183.50, respectively. Sophomore
Jenn Fitts (Birdsboro, Pa./Twin Valley) posted the highest individual score of the day for KU, bowling a career-best 242 in her first game of the day.Â
KU returns to the lanes tomorrow morning, Sunday Jan. 31, at 8:30 a.m. as it faces off against Saint Francis (PA) for the second straight day. The winner of that match heads to the finals, while the loser would need one more victory to reach the championship.
