Women's Tennis Falls in PSAC Quarterfinals

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's tennis team hit the road on Monday for a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Quarterfinal match at West Chester University. It took one of three doubles matches, but was unable to win in singles play in a 5-1 defeat at West Chester's South Campus Courts.
 
In doubles action, Chelsea Davis (Spring City, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Alyssa Konas (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield) won their team-leading 11th doubles match of the season. At the second flight, they took a convincing 8-2 win for Kutztown's lone win of the day. West Chester won No. 1 doubles, 8-6, and No. 3, 8-3.
 
In the first-to-five match, Kutztown (9-9) was taken down by West Chester (10-9) in straight sets at No. 2, 3, and 6 singles.
 
Despite the postseason setback, the Golden Bears wrap up their season on Wednesday, April 16 with a home non-conference match against Goldey-Beacom College beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Keystone Courts.
