KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The 11th-ranked Kutztown University women's bowling team continues on the road to the NCAA National Championships this weekend as it aims for its first-ever Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament Championship at the Holiday Bowl in Altoona, Pa.

The Golden Bears (78-47), ranked 11th in the latest NTCA national poll, have one more opportunity to impress the national committee and work their way into the top eight rankings, therefore receiving a bid to the NCAA National Championships on April 9-12 in Cleveland, Ohio. To do so, KU will need to perform well and contend for the NEC Championship this weekend.
 
Looking back to previous success at the conference championships, KU was a semifinalist in last year's NEC Championships in Elmwood Park, N.J. The team last qualified for NCAA's in 2011, when it won a program-best 100 matches.
