COLONIA, N.J. -- Kutztown University women's bowling claimed top billing in the 2026-27 East Coast Conference Women's Bowling Preseason Poll and returning All-American and NTCA Division II National Rookie of the Year
Madilyn Bogovic (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cedar Cliff) was named Preseason Bowler of the Year, the league office announced Monday.
The Golden Bears received six first-place votes and 62 points in the poll to lead Molloy (55 pts., 1 first-place vote) and Adelphi (46 points). Kutztown put together its fourth straight 50-win season in 2025-26 and reached championship Sunday at the ECC Championship before falling to Molloy in a best-of-three mega match. KU also won six matches over nationally ranked opponents and spent three months in the national rankings, peaking at No. 23.
Kutztown is looking to climb back to the top of the conference after winning its first ECC title and advancing to the NCAA Championship tournament in 2024-25.
In addition to capturing NTCA Second Team All-America and DII National Rookie of the Year honors, Bogovic was rthe ECC Rookie of the Year and an All-ECC First Team selection. The Mechanicsburg, Pa., native led DII in Baker double percentage (57.0%), strike percentage (54.6%), traditional frame average (21.1) and Baker frame average (21.25).
A two-sport star, Bogovic was also the 2025 PSAC East Women's Volleyball Freshman of the Year.
