ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team is in second place after competing Saturday in the first day of the United States Bowling Conference Intercollegiate Team Sectional Qualifier at AMF Parkway Lanes in Allentown, Pa.

The Golden Bears went 3-0 in NCAA competition on the day with a total pin fall of 6,146 for second place, bringing their overall record to 72-38.
In NCAA matches, the Golden Bears defeated Sacred Heart (735-725), Ursuline (738-679), and St. Francis (Pa.) (770-681).
The Golden Bears continue competition tomorrow with 32 baker games beginning at 7:30 a.m., and by the end of the day the top four teams will qualify for the USBC Nationals.
