Kutztown struck first with a two-out RBI from senior Nicole Henninger (Reading, PA./Muhlenberg) in the first inning to score Maria Isgro (Galloway, NJ/Absegami). Hetzler and Booth drove in RBI singles in the second and third innings, respectively, to give Kutztown a 3-1 advantage after three.

Smith extended the lead in the top of the fourth with a two-run homer to right field, scoring Hetzler. The Riverhawks' Abby Jamieson belted a solo home run in the bottom half of the inning to bring the game to 5-2. Isgro's sacrifice fly in the fifth inning rounded out the scoring on Sunday to seal Kutztown's 6-2 victory.
