ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team finished the Northeastern Conference Meet #2 in second place Sunday.
 
 
The Golden Bears went 2-2 on the day, and 5-4 in the meet, bringing their overall record to 55-27. KU defeated Sacred Heart (946-915) and Fairleigh-Dickinson (919-884), but fell to Adelphi (891-877) and LIU Brooklyn (991-889).
 
 
The Golden Bears' victory over the Knights was bittersweet as Fairleigh-Dickinson moved into the first place slot with a 13-5 standing in the Northeastern Conference. KU (12-6) finished second, followed by St. Francis (Pa.) (12-6) in third, LIU Brooklyn (11-7) in fourth, and New Jersey City (10-8) rounded out the top five.
 
 
The Golden Bears return to action when they travel to Towson, Md., to compete in the weekend-long Morgan State Invitational Friday - Sunday, February 15 - February 17.
