KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team completed day one of the Terrier New Year Knockdown held at St. Francis College (N.Y.) in fourth place Saturday.
RESULTS
 
KU went 3-3 on the day with a total pin fall of 5,820, bringing their overall record to 37-15.
 
The seven other teams that competed included nationally ranked No. 2 University of Maryland Eastern Shore, No. 9 Wisconsin-Whitewater, No. 12 Sacred Heart, No. 16 Long Island University- Brooklyn, No. 18 St. Francis (N.Y.), Delaware State, and Hampton University.
 
The Golden Bears, nationally ranked No. 10, played six traditional team matches. The Maroon and Gold defeated Hampton University (1068-883), St. Francis (N.Y.) (1040-866), and Sacred Heart (10690-1021).
 
The Golden Bears return to action Sunday, playing six Quad Baker matches.
