READING, Pa. – Kutztown University's women's tennis team got back in the win column with a commanding 8-1 win over Albright.

The Golden Bears opened the match with a sweep of all three doubles wins.
Hannah Pipkin (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) (Landisville, Pa./Hempfield) and
Ridhima Borooah (Guwahati-Assam, India/Modern School; Barakhamba Road; New Delhi) (Guwahati-Assam, India/Modern School) downed Alyssa Snell and Victoria Foanio 8-5 at first doubles.
Chelsea White (Landenberg, PA/Avon Grove) (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) and
Rachel Grula (Drums, PA/Hazleton Area) (Drums, Pa./Hazleton) picked up a win at second doubles, defeating Katy Oeste and Melissa Carberry 8-4. At third doubles,
Tori Zander (Pennsburg, PA/Upper Perkiomen) (Pennsburg, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Jennifer Stow (Glen Mills, PA/Garnet Valley) (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) topped Christina Peacock and Ligeia Evans 8-3.
Pipkin, Grula,
Stefanie Fisher (New Holland, PA/Garden Spot) (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot), Zander and
Cynthia Good (Montrose, Pa./Elk Lake) (Dimock, Pa./Elk Lake) all notched victories in singles play to seal the victory.
Pipkin dropped the first set to Foanio, but rebounded for a 4-6, 6-4, 10-2 victory at first singles. Grula defeated Sell in straight sets 6-2, 6-2. Fisher was a 6-3, 6-1 winner at fourth singles against Peacock. At fifth singles, Zander dropped just one game to sweep Carberry 6-0, 6-1. Good bested Evans in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3.
Kutztown travels to West Chester on March 24.
