ALTOONA, Pa. – The Kutztown University women's bowling team finished third overall at the Red Flash Invitational, a three day competition hosted by St. Francis (Pa.) at Holiday Bowl in Altoona, Pa.
 

KU went 1-2 on the day and 10-2 on the weekend to finish in third place. St. Francis (Pa.) finished in first place and Urusuline took second. The Golden Bears were followed by New Jersey City in  fourth and Medaille rounded out the top five. 


The Golden Bears' Brooke Bower (Camp Hill, PA/Cedar Cliff) was named to the All Tournament Team after her exceptional efforts throughout the competition.
 
 
The Golden Bears defeated New Jersey City (4-2) to take their overall record to 34-12.

 
Schools joining the Golden Bear in participation at the competition include St. Francis (Pa.), Ursuline, New Jersey City, Penn State Altoona, Medaille, and Salem International.


The Maroon and Gold return to action January 19-20, when they compete at the St. Francis (N.Y.) New Years Knockdown in Brooklyn, N.Y.
